Job summary

Perini Management Services Inc., a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Death Valley National Park, CA. You will collaborate with architects and engineers through all construction phases, helping develop budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will assist with schedules, change orders, vendor coordination, cost monitoring, and risk mitigation to ensure quality and on-time delivery at a remote California project site.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management related degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
• Work Experience as Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Procore. Willing to travel and relocate near the project location.
• Ability to obtain an Employer-Sponsored U.S. Government Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.
• Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
• Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule with monthly updates and progress tracking.
• Process change orders and manage scope changes between client, subcontractors, and designers.
• Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors; monitor costs and budget management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; coordinate with owner and security for base access.
