Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 1+ year of construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and Prolog or similar software.
• Experience in blueprint reading, construction scheduling and CAD.
• Previous field engineer or project engineer on commercial construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities at the construction job site to ensure progress and compliance with contract specifications.
• Inspect site daily and coordinate with contractors to schedule deliveries.
• Interpret designs and drawings for craft workers installing materials.
• Prepare field design change requisitions and as-built drawings; disseminate required documentation.
• Verify that completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications.
• Attend meetings with contractors, clients, or A/E representatives to coordinate design and construction efforts.
• Coordinate quality control activities with the construction schedule; assist Contracts Manager with scope gaps.
• Research and propose solutions to quality control issues.
