Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Los Angeles, CA office. The role provides technical engineering information to construction management and crafts to ensure work complies with design, standards, and codes.

You will read and interpret contracts, drawings, and specifications, manage RFIs and submittals, and coordinate field activities with the PM team. Strong communication and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5–7 years of heavy civil construction experience.
• Experience with surveying techniques and equipment.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering information to construction management and crafts to ensure compliance with design, standards, and codes.
• Read and interpret contracts, drawings, and specs to maintain construction schedule.
• Prepare and manage RFIs and submittals.
• Coordinate field engineering activities with construction management.
• Daily field documentation, photos, and communications.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on site.
• Assist in monthly reporting for progress payments and schedule updates.
