Confident Search Consultants in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Engineer for heavy civil highway and bridge work. The role blends office and field duties, with ownership of engineering and project controls on FDOT projects across Florida. You will review contracts, prepare Primavera P6 schedules, track costs, manage change orders, and coordinate subs and crews.

A B.S. in Civil Engineering and 5–8 years of experience are required, with relocation considered.

Formación

• 5–8 years of experience in civil construction (office and field).
• Experience managing multiple activities on heavy civil work.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering, ideally with Construction Engineering and Management emphasis.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel and Word.
• FDOT project experience is a plus.
• Based in the Tampa Bay area or willing to relocate.

Responsabilidades

• Review the contract and specifications in their entirety.
• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on day-to-day project needs.
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, project costs and forecasting.
• Get pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing.
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
• Keep NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, survey staking and joint measurements with the owner on track.
