Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Project Engineer for large-scale commercial construction projects in the greater Raleigh, North Carolina region. You will support the Project Manager and Superintendent with RFI processing, submittals, daily reports, material tracking, and safety compliance on active projects.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering with at least one year of construction experience, including internships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Minimum one year of construction industry experience or internship in construction management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Produce and organize project documents per Christman standards and risk management.
• Prepare documents for close-out, turnover, and archiving with required safety and quality plans.
• Summarize discussions and decisions from meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Manage RFI process and update contract drawings for approved changes.
• Create and maintain submittal logs and review shop drawings for compliance.
• Post safety information and ensure PPE usage on site.
• Support project superintendent with daily reports and quality photos.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related job field
