Job summary

The Christman Company in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent on large-scale commercial construction projects in the greater Knoxville region. Responsibilities include coordinating RFIs, submittals, daily reports, material tracking, and safety compliance on site.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and at least one year of construction experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum one year of construction industry experience. Internship(s) in construction management also count.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Produce and organize project documents per Christman standards and risk management guidelines.
Prepare documents for close-out, turnover, and archiving and ensure required safety and quality records.
Summarize discussions from meetings and coordinate punch-list contents with client and architect.
Manage RFI and submittal processes, update drawings for approved changes, and track procurement and inspections.
Post safety information and monitor PPE usage on site and assist with daily progress reporting.
