Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Project Engineer for large-scale commercial construction projects in the Laurinburg area. You will be a critical part of the project team, producing and managing documents, punch lists, RFIs, and submittals while coordinating with clients and architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum one year of construction industry experience; internships count.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Produce and organize project documents to Christman standards and risk management.
• Prepare close-out documents and archiving materials for turnover.
• Plan and process close-out of subcontracts as work concludes.
• Summarize discussions and decisions from project meetings and weekly sub meetings.
• Collaborate with client and architect to establish punch-list contents.
• Use current tech to expedite punch-list, targeting 30 days after substantial completion.
• Assist in inspections planning and log creation per Christman standards.
• Provide information on procurement, material tracking, and inspections to field staff.
• Manage RFIs and update contract drawings with approved changes.
• Organize submittals and maintain submittal logs for timely reviews.
• Support superintendent with quality checks and progress photos.
• Post safety information and ensure PPE compliance at site.
