Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate all project information, supporting the team to maintain schedule, budget, and quality across Florida projects. You will help manage change processes, review drawings, and expedite materials to keep projects on track.

With a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 4+ years of experience, you will leverage Procore and CMiC to drive cost control and collaboration. A commitment to safety and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4+ years of experience with a large trade contractor, construction management or general contractor organization.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages the change management process under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Serves as a key player in monthly cost report meetings and contributes with data points.
• Adheres to monthly cost control, pay requests, and cost reporting.
• Expedites material deliveries effectively.
• Reviews and evaluates shop drawings accurately.
• Encourages others to seek innovative approaches to problems and opportunities.
• Develops business by identifying client needs and Gilbane opportunities.
• Reviews customer feedback and maintains customer relations.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.

Strong verbal and written skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Proficient in Procore

Expertise in CMiC

Financial management familiarity

OSHA 30-hour certification

MEP knowledge

Understanding of contract documents

Presentations / communication

Education
