Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate project information and documentation to support the project team in meeting timelines, budget, and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 4+ years of experience with large trade contractors or GC organizations, plus familiarity with Procore and CMiC. A proactive, collaborative leader will thrive in Gilbane’s inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 4+ years of experience with a large trade contractor, construction management or general contractor.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification advantageous.
• MEP knowledge and understanding of contract documents & specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manages change management under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Participates in monthly cost report meetings with data points.
• Ensures monthly cost control, pay requests, and cost reporting.
• Expedites material deliveries.
• Reviews shop drawings for accuracy.
• Identifies opportunities for improvements and communicates value to clients.
• Coaches and mentors junior team members.
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.
