Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Project Engineer in West Palm Beach, FL to coordinate project information, support the project team, and help maintain schedule, budget, and quality. You will engage with field staff, design teams, and subcontractors, manage changes, review drawings, and prepare cost reports.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management with 4+ years of GC experience and proficiency in Procore/CMiC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4+ years of experience with a large trade contractor, construction management or general contractor organization.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages the change management process effectively under the direction of the Project Manager
• Serves as a key player in monthly cost report meetings and contributes with meaningful data/talking points
• Adheres to the project controls procedures to include monthly cost control, pay requests, and cost reporting successfully
• Expedites material deliveries effectively
• Reviews and evaluates shop drawings accurately
• Encourages others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to problems and opportunities continually
• Develops business through identifying client needs, identifying Gilbane opportunity matches, and communicating the value and differentiation of Gilbane to prospective clients
• Reviews customer feedback proactively, builds a customer centric mentality within teams, and demonstrates knowledge of different market sectors and delivery systems to ensure positive customer relations
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment
