Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for Doors Frames and Hardware to support Self-Perform Work (SPW) in Raleigh, NC. You will collaborate with SPW crews, project managers and subcontractors to ensure scope requirements, schedules and quality are met.

The role focuses on reviewing drawings, managing budgets and documenting field changes, with emphasis on continuous improvement and coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field is required.
• 2-4 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Review contract drawings, specifications and submittals for SPW scopes for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with SPW managers, superintendents, and teams to resolve standard technical questions related to self-perform scopes.
• Monitor SPW activity schedules and budgets; track labor productivity and report variances for corrective actions.
• Support QA and safety protocols for SPW across all phases.
• Prepare and maintain SPW documentation including daily crew reports, logs and field change documentation.
• Identify opportunities for incremental SPW process improvements and contribute to leading practices.
• Participate in SPW coordination meetings and communicate progress to crews and stakeholders.
