Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer for commercial and public projects in Lenexa, KS, on-site, full-time. You will support project managers, coordinate documentation, and help keep projects on schedule and on budget.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 1–4+ years of commercial experience; excellent organizational and communication skills; proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–4+ years of commercial construction experience (internship experience considered).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and superintendents in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
• Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist with procurement processes, including vendor and subcontractor coordination and material tracking.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in change management processes, including reviewing proposals and preparing change orders.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure alignment across all project phases.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
