Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer for a top-tier contractor in the Kansas City area. Earn $80,000 to $110,000 per year while working on commercial construction projects across education, healthcare, and corporate sectors.

You will support project managers and field teams, manage submittals, RFIs, drawings, and procurement activities, and help track schedules and budgets. The successful candidate has a bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, 1–4+ years of experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–4+ years of experience in commercial construction (internship experience considered).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project workflows.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and superintendents in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
• Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist with procurement processes, including vendor and subcontractor coordination and material tracking.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in change management processes, including reviewing proposals and preparing change orders.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure alignment across all project phases.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
