Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.

The role emphasizes on-site coordination, documentation, cost control, safety, and effective communication across owners, architects, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project coordination and documentation.
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material deliveries across all project phases.
• Maintain project schedules and assist in updating progress reports.
• Work with subcontractors and vendors to resolve field issues promptly.
• Support cost control by verifying invoices and updating budgets.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-site efficiency at all times.

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer to join of our best clients in the area - a well respected General Contractor. This individual will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Commercial Construction Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
