Job summary

RockBridge Search & Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer to support commercial construction projects in Salt Lake City. You will assist with day-to-day coordination, document control, and schedules while collaborating with project managers, subs, and owners to maintain accuracy and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 1–4+ years of construction experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office; experience with Procore/Bluebeam/Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-4+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction software is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and execution.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and consultants to maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets and assist with cost tracking.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes.
  • Help develop and maintain project schedules and milestone tracking.
  • Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support procurement efforts by coordinating material deliveries and equipment needs.
  • Ensure project documentation remains organized and up to date.
  • Assist in resolving field issues while maintaining strong communication between office and field teams.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability on every project.

What You'll Do
