Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a degree in construction management or civil engineering and 1–3 years in commercial construction, with proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • 1–3 years in commercial construction or similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project experience.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day coordination and documentation.
  • Review drawings, specs, and submittals for compliance.
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material deliveries.
  • Maintain project schedules and update progress reports.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to resolve field issues.
  • Support cost control by verifying invoices and updating budgets.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and on-site efficiency.
  • Participate in meetings with owners and architects.

Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer to join of our best clients in the area - a well respected General Contractor. This individual will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Commercial Construction Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project coordination and documentation.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material deliveries throughout all phases of the project.
  • Maintain project schedules and assist in updating progress reports.
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors to resolve field issues promptly.
  • Support cost control efforts by verifying invoices and managing budget updates.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained on-site at all times.
  • Participate in meetings with owners, architects, and other project stakeholders.
