Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout in the Cleveland area.

The role collaborates with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality results across diverse tenant improvements and retail developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction or similar role.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project coordination and documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material deliveries throughout all phases of the project.
• Maintain project schedules and assist in updating progress reports.
• Work with subcontractors and vendors to resolve field issues promptly.
• Support cost control efforts by verifying invoices and managing budget updates.
• Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained on-site at all times.
• Participate in meetings with owners, architects, and other project stakeholders.

This individual will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
