Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality standards. The role emphasizes delivering diverse commercial projects and building long-term client and subcontractor relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience in commercial construction, strong communication and leadership skills, and proficiency with construction management software and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of plans, specs, contracts, and scheduling.
  • Experience with budgets, cost control, change orders, and subcontractor management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and MS Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from contract award through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and change orders.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, schedules, quality, and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting cost, schedule or quality.
  • Work with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
  • Assist with preconstruction, estimating, bidding, and business development as needed.
  • Manage project closeout and ensure all contractual requirements are completed.
