What You'll Do
As a Project Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting project teams from preconstruction through closeout by keeping projects organized, on schedule, and running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and subcontract documents to ensure project requirements are understood and executed.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, inspections, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
- Maintain drawing logs, document control, and project records using construction management software.
- Coordinate subcontractor and supplier submittals while ensuring timely review and distribution.
- Assist with project scheduling, procurement, material tracking, and field coordination.
- Monitor project documentation for accuracy and compliance throughout each phase of construction.
- Support project closeout by organizing warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and closeout documentation.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams to keep communication flowing and projects moving forward.
- Contribute to additional project initiatives as needed to support successful project delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Internship or previous experience in commercial construction is a plus.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 or other scheduling software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Self-starter who enjoys collaborating with project teams while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
