Job summary

Baker Construction in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Project Engineer to support field activities and project administration on multiple projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager to manage cost, schedule, and constructability, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Travel up to 25% is expected as projects require coordination across sites. Responsibilities include budgeting, billing, change orders, procurement planning, and coordination with pre-construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience or 6 years’ construction experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Generates and obtains approvals of monthly billing and earned values.
• Develops and manages the project schedule on small or mid-sized projects.
• Analyzes targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports.
• Alerts the Superintendent and Project Manager of project impact relating to resource management, crew make-up/size, etc.
• Generates estimates of change orders and may interface with pre-construction on original bids.
• Collaborates with pre-construction and the project team to manage the job transition process, communicate project requirements, and develop the initial procurement plans, budgets.
