Job summary

Baker Construction Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support field activities and assist the Project Manager with project administration across multiple projects.

You’ll balance cost control, scheduling, and resource management while guiding a team of support staff to ensure safety and quality on site. The role emphasizes risk management, QA/QC, and timely reporting, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 4 years’ experience, or 8 years’ construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of Primavera and Timberline.
• Ability to understand, customize and modify spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Manager on the Management of Cost and Schedule.
• Submits and/or approves monthly billings and earned value reports.
• Manages development of critical path project schedule documents on one medium to large-sized project, or multiple small to medium-sized projects.
• Supports the Project Manager by reviewing and negotiating change orders and tracks status.
• Manages the procurement process and makes recommendations to the Project Manager.
