Job summary

One Shot Automation LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Project Engineer – Automation to drive automation projects from concept to commissioning. You will design and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based control systems, and work closely with clients to define scope and technical specs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering and 2+ years of industry experience. On-site installations and travel to client sites are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development and integration.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design.
• Excellent project management and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage automation engineering projects from concept through commissioning.

• Collaborate with clients to define project scope, requirements, and technical specifications.
• Develop and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and technical documentation.

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
