Job summary

Core Group Resources is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and commission control systems across industries. You will develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions, perform FAT/SAT, and support on-site commissioning with clients.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in engineering and at least 3 years of experience in automation, with hands-on PLC programming and familiarity with Ignition, Wonderware, or WinCC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Automation Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering, controls, or systems integration.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron).
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, WinCC, or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, and OPC.
  • Additional familiarity with robotics, motion control, and vision systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret and design electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required for on‑site commissioning and client support.
  • Certifications such as ISA CAP, Rockwell, Siemens, or GE are a plus.

  • Support on‑site installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
  • Integrate robotics, motion control, and vision systems into manufacturing processes.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams including mechanical, process, and IT colleagues to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Ensure systems comply with safety standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Provide ongoing technical support, training, and comprehensive documentation for clients and internal teams.
