Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer within the Advanced Facilities Family, located in Nashville. On-site teams will support safety, QA/QC, estimating changes, and daily reporting.

You will work closely with foremen, subcontractors, and project leadership to learn means and methods of construction and to grow your technical and collaborative skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture, mentoring others.
• Participates with project QA/QC planning to ensure quality for tasks.
• Learns estimating and change management processes and tools, including quantity take-off and review of subcontractor proposals.
• Works on site with project team to support monitoring crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity and equipment.
• Participates in punch lists, inspections, safety reviews, quality reviews and documentation.
• Posts drawings and specifications with latest information.
• Organizes and participates in project meetings and disseminates required documentation.
• Prepares reports including daily and weekly progress, unit reporting, and manpower to support scheduling.
• Supports project close-out including punch lists, manuals, as-builts.
