Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a United States-based Director of Project Management to lead peptide API projects. The role requires cross‑functional collaboration across Operations, Quality, R&D and external partners to deliver strategic capital projects on time and within budget.

You will drive process improvements, manage large cross‑functional teams, and ensure compliance with EHS standards while advancing digital solutions and AI integration across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• BS, Engineering or equivalent technical degree; MBA preferred.
• 15+ years in senior engineering/projects/operations leadership across multiple technologies.
• Experience with manufacturing tech across biologics, small molecules, devices and packaging.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and communicate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to achieve milestones of strategic peptide manufacturing projects in the US.
• Manage complex capital projects ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to EHS standards with zero incidents during construction.
• Develop strategies for concept studies through to detailed design and procurement.
• Drive AI and digital transformation across project phases to improve efficiency, schedule and budget.
