Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Transformation Senior Process Engineer- API to lead process and equipment design on a Strategic Capital Project. Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead, you will drive design decisions, equipment specs, and risk management to meet project goals.

The role requires a strong engineering background, knowledge of regulatory expectations (cGMP), and the ability to work with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science required; 6+ years of engineering/operational experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge and application of engineering concepts and procedures.
• Experience in healthcare/pharma/biologics is preferred.
• Ability to interact with diverse groups and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead process and equipment design on a Strategic Capital Project.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures; assess risks early and implement fallback strategies.
• Plan and conduct high-impact projects; manage cost, scope, and schedule.
• Develop execution strategies including procurement and customer needs alignment; understand cGMP requirements.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory audits and present information to regulators.
• Supervise internal/external design efforts and coordinate with stakeholders.
