Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead a design team, guiding projects from concept to construction. The role emphasizes collaboration with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA or NAAB accredited institution in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4+ years of professional design experience.
• 4+ years of Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts & design.
• Excellent time management, communication, collaboration, and multi-project management.
• Ability to lead a team and delegate effectively.
• Able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from sketch through construction.
• Develop and manage team project timelines, budgets, standards, and resources.
• Support Project Designers in quality review of design deliverables.
• Ensure new processes and standards are communicated and implemented.
• Review preliminary space plans to ensure safety, function, aesthetics and codes.
• Review furniture, fixtures, equipment, and millwork selections and specs.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning, design, and FF&E services.
• Develop client workplace standards and pursue improvements.
• Contribute expertise on space planning, finishes, lighting, acoustics, ergonomics, etc.
• Work independently on conceptual design, SD, DD, space planning, and documentation.
• Oversee third-party relationships with architects and engineers.
• Provide rapid FF&E vendor knowledge to the team.
