Job summary

Jobtailor in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Project Coordinator to monitor milestones, coordinate across departments, and keep manufacturing timelines on track.

You will partner with Planning, Expediters, Procurement and vendors to ensure material availability, manage documentation, and mitigate risks while supporting budgets.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be accepted.
  • Capable with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with MS Project preferable.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Competence in general computer skills and common business software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Data management skills.
  • Customer relations management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling, talking and hearing, and using fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays as workload dictates.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be required.
  • Must complete required safety-related and job-specific training.
  • Must wear Nikkiso-provided PPE as/when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor project milestones and coordinate across internal departments to resolve execution delays.
  • Embed with production teams to identify bottlenecks, reallocate focus, and restore manufacturing timelines.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Expediters to ensure material requirements are met.
  • Pull, organize, and ready unfilled parts for immediate production deployment.
  • Partner with Procurement to monitor supplier timelines and intervene when vendors fall behind.
  • Audit vendor lead times and drive accountability for critical project updates and deliveries.
  • Coordinate project activities with focus on schedule, budget, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Lead or participate in Contractor meetings to give and receive feedback.
  • Manage project documentation, submittals, file validation, and document control.
  • Assist with implementation and tracking of project budgets and schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
