Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for hardware development in the US. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, shape delivery plans, and track critical metrics across cost, schedule, and technical progress.

Strong communication and scheduling skills are essential to align stakeholders and drive programs to successful completion. Responsibilities include budget control, IMS- and MRP-aligned planning, and ERP/tool integration using MS Project, Jira, and P6 Primavera.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management experience related to mechanical engineering or hardware development.
• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, business, or technical.
• Expertise with Project Management Tools such as MS Project, P6 Primavera or similar.
• Experience with IMP/IMS and configuration management.
• Experience with logic-linked scheduling.
• Experience with Jira.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust plans of product deliveries and lead tracking of key operating metrics including technical progress, cost, and schedule.
• Identify and define problem statements and maintain realistic project schedules.
• Understand critical path and variance drivers and reconcile them.
• Manage budgets across control points and drive estimate-to-complete assessments.
• Coordinate cross-functional product teams across engineering, planning, supply chain, manufacturing, facilities, and QA/test.
• Support purchase orders, contracts, and SLAs aligned with program resources.
• Understand linkage between MRP systems and IMS and drive planning of technical efforts via agile concepts.
• Maintain regular business rhythm, action tracking, and reporting on plan performance for program reviews.

Job description

• Work with team leadership and support the development of robust plans of product deliveries and lead tracking of key operating metrics - including technical progress, cost, and schedule.
• Identify and define problem statements and have enough experience to build and support a realistic project schedule.
• Understand critical path and variance drivers and work to reconcile.
• Support management of budget across all control points including driving estimate to complete assessments.
• Coordinate the efforts across the product team comprised of engineering, program planning & control, supply chain, manufacturing/production engineering, facilities, production, tooling, quality, and test.
• Support purchase orders, contracts, and service level work agreements aligned with program resources.
• Understand and drive linkage between Material Requirements Planning system and IMS.
• Support planning of technical efforts via agile concepts leveraging company tools.
• Enable and maintain regular business rhythm, action tracking, and consolidate information for effective decision making, including maintaining and routinely reporting performance to plan on schedule, resources, program/product cost, and technical performance metrics for program reviews.
• Support management of wiki space that enables team to have efficient reference to key information.
