Johnson Service Group (JSG) in Calera, AL is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator 2 (Distribution) for a two-year contract assignment. The role focuses on project planning, coordination, resource management, scheduling, documentation, reporting and communication to ensure on-time delivery with safety and quality compliance.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5–10 years of project coordination experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project plans, timelines, and objectives for distribution projects.
• Serve as a central point of contact for project teams, coordinating activities and tasks, and ensuring that project milestones are met.
• Allocate and monitor the use of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
• Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and identify potential delays or issues.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including records of project activities, decisions, and changes.
• Generate regular status reports for project stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and risks.
• Facilitate effective communication among project team members and between teams and stakeholders.
• Assist in procurement processes, including sourcing materials, obtaining quotes, and managing vendor relationships.
• Promote a culture of safety within the project team, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in managing project scope changes and ensuring that the appropriate approvals are obtained.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning
