Job summary

Wright Tool Company in Detroit, MI seeks a Project Coordinator to support the Project Management team. You will maintain documentation, track action items, and coordinate communication across departments to keep projects on schedule and properly documented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ years of project management, coordination, administration, purchasing, customer service or operations.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution or government contracting preferred.
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, due dates and action items.
  • Coordinate meeting agendas and lead internal and external meetings.
  • Follow up on open action items with internal departments and external customers.
  • Provide customer and supplier communication.
  • Maintain project files and logs for issues, changes, and actions.
  • Support sales order management and updates.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing for order tracking and status updates.
  • Communicate status updates and escalations as needed.
  • Identify risks and issues and maintain logs/tracking.
  • Consolidate reports for internal stakeholders.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator provides administrative and project coordination and management support to the Project Management department. This position is responsible for maintaining project documentation, tracking action items, coordinating communication between departments, and assisting with day-to-day project activities to ensure projects remain organized and on schedule, within scope and properly documented.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ Years of experience in project management, coordination, administration, purchasing, customer service or operations
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or government contracting environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and project lifecycle management.
COMPUTER SKILLS
  • ERP experience, business analytics / reporting required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • SAGE 300 experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Planner, Forms and Microsoft Approvals
  • SharePoint
