Job summary

Baker Group is seeking a motivated student or early-career professional to support project managers in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on inventory tracking, scheduling, and documentation while learning the company’s electrical, mechanical, and service offerings.

Ideal candidates are pursuing construction management or engineering degrees and have strong customer service, organization, and communication skills. On-site work with some training opportunities is provided.

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree in construction management, mechanical, electrical engineering OR equivalent experience.
• General knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical system components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with and support project managers on project implementation, including inventory tracking and scheduling.
• Learn company systems and services through instructor-led and online training.
• Develop documentation, identify trends, and suggest process improvements.
• Assist project managers in supporting field staff with timely project information.
• Collaborate with customers to maintain project schedules.
