Job summary

WW Clyde seeks a Project Controls Manager to teach and enforce the WW Clyde Project Management Guide across on-site teams in Apache Junction, AZ. You will train Field Engineers, Project Engineers, and Managers on budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, and month-end close.

The role blends technical finance with people leadership—develop training materials, coach teams, and roll out new reporting tools. Some regional travel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have experience training, coaching, or developing others in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of project financials including budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project controls, project management, operations support, finance, or related discipline.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, ERP systems, and project management software; ability to learn and teach new platforms.
• Curiosity and ability to explain complex concepts clearly to varied experience levels.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites within the region with an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor, and coach field personnel on processes, controls, and systems.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training with live instruction and follow-up to ensure learning.
• Develop, document, and maintain training materials, SOPs, and process docs.
• Serve as SME on project controls standards and the Project Management Guide.
• Teach and support project financials including budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and month-end close.
• Analyze financial reports to identify trends and coaching opportunities.
• Review month-end reporting for accuracy and drive targeted training.
• Develop and maintain project control plans for schedule, budget, forecast, and scope.
• Lead development and rollout of project reporting tools and processes.
• Create data analytics to measure performance and adherence to scope.
• Oversee project setup/closeout processes as training opportunities.
• Diagnose issues and implement practical solutions.
• Drive adoption of new processes and systems via change management.
• Build strong relationships with field and project teams and keep leadership aligned.
