Jacobs is seeking a Project Controls Professional based in the Western U.S. to manage project ledgers, budgets, and forecasts. You will support Project Managers with weekly financial updates, assist in monthly reviews, and help establish a robust WBS across projects.

You will monitor cost performance, manage subcontract processes, and maintain change logs while applying accounting fundamentals. The role emphasizes collaboration with operations and the broader project team.

Qualifications

• 5 years professional experience in the engineering consulting industry as a project controls professional setting up projects, managing budgets and schedules, and monitoring subcontracts.
• Experience with earned value progress and all phases of home office engineering.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and practices.
• Proficient in intermediate to advanced Excel; familiar with Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Ability to learn quickly and solve a range of basic problems.

Responsibilities

• Set up project financials, budgets, and forecasts from project initiation.
• Provide weekly financial updates to Project Managers and participate in monthly reviews.
• Develop and maintain project WBS with operations teams.
• Monitor budgets vs actual costs and forecasts; correct variances as needed.
• Prepare procurement forms for subcontract initiation and review subcontractor invoices.
• Track subcontracts, term extensions, closures, and change logs.
