Jacobs in Richmond, VA is seeking a seasoned Project Controls professional to support our Program Management Team across locations including Richmond, VA and Elkton, VA. You will forecast costs, develop budgets, and deliver reliable cost reports for engineering and construction projects.

This role emphasizes collaboration with project managers, engineers, clients and stakeholders, strong data analysis, and flexible, hybrid work arrangements within our nationwide U.S. operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Finance, or other business management related degree; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• 5+ years of experience in cost engineering, project controls, project management, or a related field.
• Experience developing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports for engineering, construction, or capital projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate cost performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
• Experience with project controls and cost management software such as EcoSys, Primavera Unifier, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Ability to perform cost forecasting, estimate reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and variance reporting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative project team environment.
