Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Project Engineer to drive financial accuracy on a full-time traveling assignment supporting an Advanced Technology project in the Data Center market segments. You will monitor resources, cost data, and project performance with a focus on keeping projects on budget while coordinating with engineering and field crews.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in construction engineering, with experience in cost accounting, scheduling, and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years construction engineering experience.
• Experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Knowledge of design-build or other alternative build techniques.

Responsibilities

• Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources.
• Review all shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data.
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling.
• Identify risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could impact budget or schedule.
• Evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections to track project performance.
• Update project schedule weekly for owner and management reporting.
• Prepare and manage a three-week work plan and notify of significant changes with solutions.
• Initiate and manage all RFIs.
• Remit accurate project quantities using cost coding for reporting.
• Manage invoicing with accounting team regarding materials, equipment and subcontractor needs.
• Review certificates and permits needed to perform work.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses to ensure safety and compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.

Education
