Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to oversee project sites, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and contract specs. You will work with project crews to align materials, equipment, and resources to keep production on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years in construction engineering, and strong communication to coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of construction engineering experience.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings and building materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm materials, equipment and resources are available.
• Collects and analyzes shop drawings, design specs, material requirements and project data for quality and contract compliance.
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling; identifies risk elements.
• Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections and documents activities.
• Remits accurate project quantity input and cost coding with finance teams.
• Reviews and approves daily timecards and coordinates with payroll and supervisors.
• Ensures quality assurance on project specs and manages necessary certificates and inspections.
• Plans field layout and marks utility/commercial lines; coordinates permits.
• Assists development of design drawings and provides technical input.
• Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedules and crews.
