Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Project Engineer to track and analyze cost data, ensuring projects stay on budget. You will monitor resources and schedules across Advanced Technology and Data Center markets, applying construction knowledge to keep projects on track.

This traveling, full-time role requires coordinating with engineering and field crews, reviewing drawings, managing RFIs, cost coding, invoicing and permits to maintain schedule integrity and financial control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years construction engineering experience.
• Experience in resource monitoring techniques (cost accounting and basic estimating).
• Knowledge of design-build or alternative build techniques.

Responsibilities

• Meet with engineering and field crews to review schedules and confirm materials and resources.
• Review shop drawings, design specs, material requirements, and project data.
• Provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling.
• Monitor budget, production, and schedule to track project performance.
• Update project schedule weekly for owner and management reporting.
• Manage RFIs and project quantities using cost coding for accurate reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods and crews.
• Oversee invoicing with accounting for materials and subcontractors.
• Review permits and JHAs to ensure safety and compliance.
