Job summary

Bartech Staffing is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to initiate and complete routine and complex project control tasks. You will forecast costs, align budgets to schedules, perform variance analysis, and report to program or portfolio levels.

We require strong Excel skills, familiarity with project controls methods, and the ability to handle large data files. Hybrid work with an in-office day in Charlotte, NC is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or Business with 2+ years related experience; or High School/DGED with 5+ years related experience.
• Advanced to expert Excel; proficient use of project controls principles and software tools.
• Ability to identify problems, develop solutions and implement actions.

Responsibilities

• Generate periodic project controls reports (monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc).
• Manage changes to scope and cost baseline and process change notices/orders.
• Assist benchmarking and self-assessment initiatives for project controls.
• Maintain cost estimates, track cash flow, and report project status and variances.
• Create or validate project cost estimates with Estimator(s).
• Collaborate with customers to maintain effective relationships and resolve issues.
