Job summary

PMA in Chicago is seeking a cost-focused project controls professional to support cost management, scheduling, and reporting for complex programs.

You will collaborate with owners and stakeholders, use Primavera P6 and BI tools, and help produce insights through dashboards and variance analyses. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in project controls are required; Lean Six Sigma or Agile experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, analytics, economics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing and analyzing project schedules and performance data.
• Experience supporting project controls, program controls, planning, forecasting, progress tracking, and/or variance analysis.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling principles.
• Experience with forecasting, what-if analysis, risk and issue management, and root-cause analysis.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI, Python, Alteryx, or other data analytics experience preferred.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or SCRUM preferred.
• Experience developing program dashboards, performance reporting frameworks, workflow tracking, and automated reporting solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports project cost management and control functions.
• Develops cost estimates with limited assistance and produces cost models.
• Reviews contract documents to identify cost obligations and integrates them into deliverables.
• Enforces baseline concepts and performs cost updates with progress data.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to resolve cost or schedule issues.
• Analyzes cost trends and identifies anomalies for investigation.
• Develops insightful cost, schedule, and performance reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
