Job summary

PMA is seeking a Cost Analyst to support cost management and project controls across engineering and construction projects. The role involves analyzing costs, preparing reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and delivering insights to project stakeholders.

You will work with cross-functional teams, monitor budgets, review change orders, and develop cost estimates while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 0+ years of cost control or financial data analysis experience.
• Experience with MS Word and PowerPoint preferred.
• Experience with databases and reporting preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in construction, engineering, and project controls.
• An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance.
• Review change orders, contracts, and payment applications.
• Perform cost analysis, variance reporting, and earned value tracking.
• Develop cost estimates and supports risk-based cost strategies.
• Prepare and present cost reports and project cashflows to project stakeholders.
• Support the use of project controls and cost management systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
