Job description

Job Title: Healthcare Project Architect at Cuningham

Join our welcoming team that embraces advanced technologies and flexible work environments. As a Healthcare Project Architect, you will lead the design process through all project phases, developing deliverables and documenting design solutions in accordance with project requirements and local codes.

This role involves leading small to medium-scale projects, managing teams with diverse experience levels, and demonstrating a deep understanding of healthcare design and construction. You will work with large teams, interface with client groups, and lead activities on-site.

What You Will Do
  1. Lead the development of technical solutions, coordination, and production efforts across all project phases in an iterative and collaborative process.
  2. Manage client expectations and facilitate effective communication between internal teams and client groups.
  3. Apply regenerative design principles to enhance the built, social, and natural environments.
  4. Support team development through thoughtful task assignment to motivate and inspire the team.
  5. Coordinate with consultants and contractors to achieve optimal design outcomes.
  6. Participate in construction administration, site observations, and verifications.
  7. Contribute to project pursuits through proposal and interview preparations.
  8. Lead code reviews, resolve code issues, and ensure compliance.
  9. Oversee all technical aspects of projects, supporting overall design and success metrics.
  10. Manage QA/QC processes to ensure timely and complete deliverables.
  11. Coordinate with specifications teams and lead design validation of envelope systems.
  12. Communicate with local authorities as needed and maintain control over technical submissions.
  13. Ensure the delivery of a complete, high-quality set of architectural documents that meet contractual requirements.
What We Look For
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Design/Architecture; licensure in at least one state preferred.
  • 10+ years of industry experience, with healthcare experience and at least two projects as a project architect or similar role.
  • Proven experience in California, particularly with OSHPD/HCAI projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Revit/BIM 360, Rhino, Enscape, Lumion.

Compensation is based on our national range, adjusted for location, experience, and responsibilities. Our talent team can provide specific salary details during the hiring process.
