Our San Francisco office is seeking a Project Architect to join our team. In this role, you will:

  1. Lead a team of architects to develop technical documents for complex projects such as senior living, mixed-use, and multi-family developments.
  2. Prepare, coordinate, and finalize construction document packages.
  3. Oversee daily construction administration activities, coordinating with contractors, owners, and consultants to ensure project progress.
  4. Mentor junior staff, providing oversight and monitoring their work.
  5. Establish and execute project work plans and staffing requirements.
  6. Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients.
  7. Participate in recruiting and performance management of staff.
  8. Meet with owners and user groups to determine program and planning requirements.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience.
  • An active Architectural Registration.
  • LEED AP certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of engineering systems and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong communication skills to build client relationships and trust.
  • Excellent mentoring, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is desirable.
  • Experience leading architectural teams.
  • Understanding of code implementation, jurisdiction review, especially for Residential, Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly, OSHPD 2, and Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Knowledge of construction practices for Type I and Type V construction types.
