Job summary

LJA 2025 is currently seeking a Project Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks for Project Managers. The role offers exposure to a broad range of clients and services within a growing, employee-owned firm.

You will contribute to project setup, invoicing, compliance reporting, and cost analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financials and timely payments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a billing position.
• Intermediate experience with Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle project setup and maintenance per contracted terms.
• Process weekly/monthly invoices for client submittal (lump sum, time & material, fixed-rate schedules).
• Prepare detailed spreadsheet invoices with backup and timesheet reports.
• Submit monthly compliance reports.
• Archive documents and manage project files and subcontracts.
• Monitor sub-consultants, intercompany invoices, and insurance certificates for compliance.
• Assist Project Managers and Collections with AR issues.
• Review accounts payable reports and coding; track payments per terms.
• Perform revenue and job cost analysis and collaborate with project teams.
• Support management with special projects as needed.
