Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Accountant 2 to manage project setup, client invoicing, budgeting, and A/P support within our Boise-based teams. You will collaborate with project managers to provide timely financial data and ensure contractual compliance.

The role requires an Associate degree with 5+ years of experience or an equivalent combination, along with Earned Value Management familiarity. Strong communication and discretion with confidential information are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent and 5+ years of experience; advanced degree may offset years of experience.
• Earned Value Management familiarity is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills.
• Flexibility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up projects autonomously and manage client invoicing and collections.
• Maintain project budgets and contract documentation, including fee and budget entries.
• Provide timely performance data and resolve financial issues with project staff.
• Coordinate with department and technical staff to ensure contractual compliance.
• Assist multiple project managers and staff daily.
• Prepare subconsultant agreements and review subconsultant invoices.
• Mentor junior project accountants as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
