Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant 2 in Boise, Idaho. The role focuses on project setup, client invoicing, collections, and budgeting, with additional duties in A/P coding, time sheets, and expense reports.

You’ll handle contract documentation and ensure compliance with requirements, while supporting multiple project managers. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or related field, 5 years of experience (advanced degrees may offset), and familiarity with Earned Value Management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience.
• Familiar with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar and proofreading.
• Ability to prioritized multiple tasks and collaborate with managers in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously on project setup, client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting.
• Provide contract documentation, administration and maintenance including fee and budget entry.
• Coordinate project accounting data and resolve financial issues with project staff.
• Ensure contract compliance and manage project accounting system within the department.
• Prepare and coordinate subconsultant agreements and review subconsultant invoices.
• Mentor junior project accountants as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
