Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of project accounting, cost accounting, construction accounting, or project controls experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale projects in construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, job costing, purchase orders, and vendor invoicing processes.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Detail‑oriented professional with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience with ERP, project accounting, or construction management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, commitments, and actual costs throughout the project lifecycle
• Review purchase orders, invoices, subcontractor billings, and payment requests to ensure accuracy and proper cost allocation
• Track project financial performance, identify variances, and assist leadership with cost forecasting and reporting
• Maintain cash flow projections and provide regular updates on project spending trends and potential risks
• Support change order management and ensure financial documentation is properly maintained and approved
• Partner with project managers, operations teams, and accounting to reconcile project financial data and improve reporting accuracy
• Prepare recurring project cost reports and provide insights to support business decisions
• Assist with process improvements and implementation of project cost management tools and reporting systems
