Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Project Accountant to manage invoicing, analysis, and reporting of project finances in Deep East Texas. You will interact with leadership and staff to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, budgeting and forecasting across multiple funding streams, and strong Excel skills with QuickBooks/Adaptive/Workday/Expensify experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and ability to reconcile financial statements.
• Experience budgeting and forecasting across multiple funding streams.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing, analyzing, and reporting project financial status.
• Direct fiscal operations including budgeting, funds management, and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and working capital needs.
• Coordinate month-end closings and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with policies and funding guidelines.
• Assist with audits and provide financial insights to leadership.
