Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business, finance, or related field; 5+ years accounting experience
• GAAP knowledge; reconcile balance sheets and P/L; implement financial policies
• Experience budgeting and forecasting across multiple funding streams; report financial position
• Advanced MS Excel and accounting software; QuickBooks, Adaptive, Workday, Expensify a plus
• Ability to work in a dynamic team with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, highly organized with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Meet month-end deadlines; be proactive and able to work independently or in a virtual team

Responsibilities

• Ensure procedures and policies for financial reporting; ensure compliance with laws and policies
• Direct fiscal operations: financial planning, funds management, accounting, reporting
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and working capital needs
• Provide financial insight and reporting to leadership and Workforce Board
• Ensure project fulfills financial obligations per policies, budgets, funding guidelines
• Coordinate accounting activities for projects, including contract-based procedures
• Process employee and participant expenses, vendor invoices, and payroll analytics
• Prepare monthly project advances, invoices, and supporting docs; liaise with Workforce Boards on inquiries
• Perform month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce financial reporting: budgets, forecasts, comparisons
• Support annual audit deliverables and periodic program audits
• Approach daily tasks with a ZAG mindset
• Other duties as needed
