Job summary

iSuite L.L.C. is seeking a Project Accountant to join the Accounting team in Granite City, IL or Chesterfield, MO. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of billing or project accounting experience and will grow under senior staff in construction finance. Construction industry experience is preferred but not required.

You will handle project setup, contract administration, billing, lien waivers, retainage, and cost tracking. Travel up to 25% is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in billing, project accounting, construction administration, or related financial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Project Setup & Contract Administration: set up jobs in Vista by Viewpoint with accurate cost codes and contract values.
• Billing & Collections: prepare accurate customer billing and track lien waivers.
• Maintain change order logs and monitor retainage per contract terms.
• Support subcontract compliance, including insurance verification and prevailing wage requirements.
• Coordinate accounts payable related to project costs and vendor invoices.
